I'm Monica, a 30-something mum of two incredible boys - D-Man, 5, and baby, Red. These perfect little humans wouldn't have been possible without my main man, The Husband. Together we also have a fur-baby, Ollie-Dog, who we try to include in our family holidays whenever possible.

Some of my fondest childhood memories are of our family holidays to the beach.  Each year my Dad would pack up the car for us to head south to the sleepy town of Mylestom on the mid-north coast of New South Wales. We would build sandcastles at the beach, tried our hand at boogie boarding, jumped off the Bellinger River tidal pool jetty, and if we were lucky we were treated to go carting, horse riding or the odd trip into Coffs Harbour, Urunga and Sawtell. But the one vivid memory I have is on our return home.  Dad would drive into the garage and tell us "home again, home again, jiggety jog". And so, in a light bulb moment late one night breastfeeding Red, Jiggety Jog, a travel and lifestyle blog was born.

These days, with my own family, our holidays range from self-sufficient camping to enjoying the luxury of five-star hotels, to carving up the mountains skiing. We love to enjoy the simple things in life like throwing rocks in streams, exploring bushland, to finding shells at the beach. We also love finding a great cafe in a capital city, learning at museums, petting animals at zoos, and other tourist hotspots.

We have also been extemely fortunate to have travelled extensively throughout Australia and continue to plan trips around our great land.  Jiggety Jog will bring you tips, tricks and hints about travelling with kids - human and dog alike.

I've been published in several leading travel magazines including Go Camping Australia, Get Up and Go, Out and About with Kids, On The Road, Great Walks, Sprout, Beer and Brewer and The Wagga Way.
